The Edinburgh Single-Molecule Biophysics Group
Single-Molecule and Super-Resolution Microscopy at The University of Edinburgh
Headed by Mathew Horrocks, we are based in the School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. We use physical chemistry to understand the biological processes associated with disease. In particular, we are interested in developing and using fluorescence-based single-molecule and super-resolution methods to understand neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
